DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNT?
We sure do. Perks! Students get a 10% discount on select full-priced styles. To avail of the student discount:
- You must be at least 16 years old
- Currently enrolled in a Philippine-based school
- Have a valid student email address
The student discount cannot be combined with other offers and is not applicable to previous purchases. Exclusions may apply, including but not limited to: Recess Nalgene Bottles, Recess Sets and gift cards.
HOW DO I REDEEM THE STUDENT DISCOUNT?
We work with SheerID to verify that you are, in fact, a current student. You just need to pop some of your basic student info into the SheerID system and they’ll verify your eligibility. Once approved, you’ll get a unique code to use at checkout. Easy peasy.
WHAT INFO WILL SHEERID NEED FROM ME?
- First and last name, as shown on school records
- Full name of your school
- Date of birth
- School email address (or personal email, where applicable)
SO, SHEERID IS ASKING ME TO UPLOAD DOCUMENTS TO VERIFY THAT I AM A STUDENT. WHAT TYPE OF DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED, EXACTLY?
Any official school document, issued within the last 3 months, that clearly demonstrates your current enrollment in school. The document must include your school’s official seal / full institutional name, your first and last names, and an issue date from the last 3 months of the current academic term. You can upload more than one document, if needed.
Some examples of such documents include:
- Official School ID
- Official Enrollment Letter from your academic institution (acceptance letters will not be accepted)
- Official class schedule for the current academic term
- Registration receipt or tuition receipt
- Official class transcripts
- Other school-issued documents that display your first and last name, as well as an issue date from the last three months
I SUBMITTED A VERIFICATION FORM AND I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK. HOW DO I CHECK ON ITS STATUS?
Textbook response but always relevant: have you checked your Spam folder? If you haven’t yet, please do. Emails tend to get lost sometimes (you’d think they’d know better by now, tsk). The email should come from firstname.lastname@example.org
No luck in the Spam folder? Please email email@example.com with the full name you entered in your verification form.
MY SCHOOL DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE LIST OF INSTITUTIONS ON SHEERID. HOW DO I GET ADDED TO THE LIST SO I CAN QUALIFY FOR THE STUDENT DISCOUNT?
You can request to have your school added to the platform. Just click here and fill out the form. Results aren’t automatically guaranteed, but SheerID does heavily research and vet all suggestions, so it’ll likely be up soon if the claim is legitimate.
I'VE DONE ALL OF THE ABOVE, WHY ISN'T MY STUDENT DISCOUNT WORKING?
That’s no good. You deserve your Recess pronto. Let’s first try and troubleshoot.
- Have you entered the correct unique discount code provided?
- Have you checked that the items in your cart qualify for the student discount?
- Have you tried to apply another discount code? We only take one promo code per order.
Ticked yes to all of the above? Something must be wrong. Please shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll try to sort that out for you.
CAN I USE THE CODE MORE THAN ONCE? HOW DO I REDEEM THE STUDENT DISCOUNT AGAIN?
No. All student discount codes are single use only, meaning once you’ve used it, you can’t use it a second time. To generate a new code, you’ll need to fill in the student verification form again. Each unique individual can only generate 1 student discount code every 30 days.
